Mirzapur The Movie is enjoying a strong run at the box office, and its stars are taking a moment to thank the audience. The film has crossed ₹170 crore worldwide in just five days, while its India net collection has moved past ₹120 crore.
Amid the success, Divyenndu and Pankaj Tripathi shared their gratitude with fans. Divyenndu posted a picture with Pankaj Tripathi on Instagram and described the audience as part of the “Mirzapur family”.
“Family hain aap log hamari.. aur aapne saabit kar diya!!” he wrote, thanking viewers for their support.
The post quickly attracted comments from fans celebrating the reunion of the two popular actors. Many praised their on-screen chemistry, while others referred to Divyenndu’s character Munna Bhaiya and Pankaj Tripathi’s Kaleen Bhaiya, two of the franchise’s most recognisable figures.
The film opened strongly with ₹25.75 crore on its first day. Collections increased over the following two days, with the film earning around ₹32 crore on day two and ₹36 crore on day three. Although business dipped on Monday, the film continued to maintain a healthy pace during the week.
Mirzapur The Movie brings the popular crime saga from the OTT platform to theatres. The film expands the franchise onto the big screen while continuing its familiar story of power, revenge, rivalry and survival.
Directed by Puneet Krishna and backed by Excel Entertainment, the film features several familiar faces from the franchise. The cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Jitendra Kumar, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Ravi Kishan.
The film’s theatrical success shows that the Mirzapur franchise has retained its loyal following even after making the transition from streaming to cinemas. Its mix of familiar characters, continuing rivalries and new twists appears to have encouraged fans to return to the world of Mirzapur on a much larger screen.
For Divyenndu and Pankaj Tripathi, the response is also a reminder of the strong connection audiences have built with the characters over the years. Their thank-you message reflects that relationship, with the actors acknowledging the viewers who helped give the film such a strong start.
With the film still running in theatres, the focus now shifts to whether Mirzapur The Movie can maintain its momentum and add significantly more to its worldwide total in the coming days.
