Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s upcoming film Tu Hai Meri Kiran is set to release in theatres on October 23 after its producers announced that an ₹8.85 crore financial dispute had been resolved. News Desk: Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s upcoming film Tu Hai Meri Kiran is set to release in theatres on October 23, as originally scheduled. The film’s producers have confirmed that a financial dispute involving ₹8.85 crore has been resolved internally, clearing the way for its theatrical release.

The announcement comes after the Bombay High Court intervened earlier this week, raising uncertainty over the film’s release. Producers Vishal Rana and Sarvesh Goel have now said that the matter has been settled and the team is moving ahead with its plans.

Vishal Rana said that the issues surrounding the film had been addressed and that the production team was looking forward to bringing it to audiences. Sarvesh Goel also confirmed that the dispute had been resolved, adding that the film would arrive in cinemas on the announced date.

The controversy began when co-producer AND Movie Products LLP approached the Bombay High Court over a financial disagreement with Echelon Productions. According to the complaint, AND Movie had invested ₹8.85 crore under a co-production agreement signed in March 2024. The company alleged that the amount had not been repaid within the agreed period and that a cheque issued towards the payment had been dishonoured.

On October 19, Justice Amit Borkar passed an interim order restraining the film’s theatrical release under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act. The court directed Echelon Productions to deposit ₹8.85 crore, along with 15 per cent interest, within three working days as security before proceeding with the release.

The court also directed the production house to disclose agreements with third parties concerning the film’s commercial exploitation and restore the agreed producer credits within 48 hours.

Echelon Productions reportedly argued that AND Movie had participated in promotional activities on Instagram, suggesting that it had accepted the release plans. However, the court observed that participating in publicity does not automatically mean that a party has surrendered its contractual rights or consented to a film’s commercial release.

With the producers now stating that the dispute has been resolved, the film is expected to reach cinemas on schedule.

Written and directed by Karan Rawal, Tu Hai Meri Kiran blends romance, mystery and suspense. The story explores complicated relationships, one-sided love and unexpected developments. Alongside Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, the cast includes Ankit Gupta, Sherlin Seth, Zarina Wahab and Purnendu Bhattacharya.

The film is presented by Echelon Productions and AND Productions, with Vishal Rana, Sarvesh Goel, Ashwani Kumar, Manoj Darak and Nrupal Patel serving as producers.
