Arijit Singh backs Qazi on Bigg Boss

Singer Arijit Singh has extended his support to Qazi Touqeer, who is currently a contestant on Bigg Boss 20. Arijit said he would watch the reality show for the first time because his former Fame Gurukul co-contestant is part of the season.

Taking to X, Arijit wrote that he would have to watch Bigg Boss “for the first time” because their “rockstar Qazi” is in the house. The two singers share a connection dating back to the 2005 reality singing show Fame Gurukul, where both appeared and Qazi went on to win alongside Ruprekha Banerjee.

Qazi has quickly become one of the most talked-about contestants on Bigg Boss 20. Several clips of his behaviour inside the house have gone viral, particularly his energetic performances, arguments with fellow contestants and unusual claims.

His catchphrase, “I’m a Rockstar baby,” has also caught viewers’ attention and become popular on social media.

In one clip from the live feed, Qazi spoke about having a special “coffee tanki” at his home in Kashmir because of his love for coffee. In another video, he claimed that he was a commando and could complete 20 push-ups in five minutes.

Qazi also recently startled his fellow housemates with a late-night stunt. While the contestants were sleeping, he acted as though he had seen something supernatural, leaving others frightened and disturbing their sleep.

In another conversation, Qazi claimed he had slept for only one hour over three days while still feeling energetic.

His dramatic personality has made him a noticeable presence in the house, while some viewers have compared his behaviour with that of previous contestants known for making bold claims and placing themselves at the centre of attention.

For Arijit, however, Qazi remains a familiar face from the early days of their television careers. His public show of support has added another layer of attention to Qazi’s growing popularity on the reality show.

As Bigg Boss 20 continues, Qazi’s unpredictable behaviour and growing social media presence are likely to keep him firmly in the spotlight.
