Hyderabad, August 25: Rashmika Mandanna made her first public appearance after suffering a hip injury as she attended producer Sirgapoor Niranjan Reddy’s son Sahil Reddy’s engagement ceremony with Vijay Deverakonda in Hyderabad. The couple arrived together and were seen holding hands, quickly becoming one of the evening’s highlights.
While their appearance attracted considerable attention, Rashmika’s traditional outfit also became a talking point. The actor chose a ₹89,900 Sureena Chowdhri Anarkali set for the occasion.
The bottle-green ensemble was crafted from silk velvet and featured intricate aari and zardozi embroidery along the neckline, hemline and dupatta. The rich colour and detailed craftsmanship gave the outfit a regal yet understated look.
Rashmika kept her styling relatively simple. She wore her straight hair open with a centre parting and accessorised with a choker necklace and a studded kada. The minimal styling allowed the embroidery and silhouette of the Anarkali to remain the focus.
Vijay Deverakonda, meanwhile, opted for an all-black look. He paired black trousers with a short velvet bandhgala, creating a sharp contrast with Rashmika’s traditional green ensemble.
The event was particularly significant for Rashmika as it marked her first major public appearance since her recent hip injury. She had earlier revealed that she sustained the injury while shooting a dance sequence for her upcoming film Mysaa. She described the project as one of the most physically demanding films she had worked on.
The actor had also spoken about spending her recovery period at home, where she focused on reading, solving puzzles, watching shows and taking meetings while temporarily staying away from her usual workout and running routine.
Her appearance at the engagement suggests that she is gradually returning to public life while continuing her recovery. Fans were quick to share photographs and videos from the event, with particular attention on her appearance alongside Vijay.
The engagement ceremony was held for Sahil Reddy, son of filmmaker and producer Niranjan Reddy. The presence of Rashmika and Vijay added considerable star power to the celebration.
