Parineeti Chopra sought Lord Ganesha’s blessings at Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja on Monday, September 21, ahead of the release of her upcoming web series Shaque: Trust No One. The actress’ visit became particularly special when she video-called her husband, politician Raghav Chadha, allowing him to virtually join her for the darshan.
Parineeti was spotted at the popular Ganpati pandal during the ongoing Ganeshotsav celebrations. Dressed in a vibrant pink anarkali suit and statement earrings, she was seen standing before the idol and offering her prayers. Videos from her visit have since surfaced online, showing the actress seeking Bappa’s blessings amid the festive atmosphere.
What caught the most attention was Parineeti’s thoughtful gesture towards Raghav. Since he was not physically present at the pandal, she connected with him through a video call while she was having darshan. This allowed Raghav to virtually see the idol and be part of the auspicious moment. The gesture quickly attracted attention on social media, with fans praising the couple’s affectionate moment.
Parineeti’s visit comes at an important point in her professional career. She is preparing for the premiere of Shaque: Trust No One, which marks her debut in the web-series space. The psychological thriller has been created by Rensil D’Silva and Siddharth P. Malhotra, with D’Silva also serving as director.
The series features Parineeti alongside Jennifer Winget, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Soni Razdan, Anup Soni, Sumeet Vyas and Harleen Sethi. The story revolves around a mother whose baby goes missing and her long search for answers. The show is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on September 24.
Parineeti has been busy promoting the series in the run-up to its release. Her visit to Lalbaugcha Raja comes as she prepares to take on a new medium after establishing herself as one of Hindi cinema’s familiar faces.
Meanwhile, Lalbaugcha Raja has once again attracted several Bollywood celebrities during this year’s Ganeshotsav. Shah Rukh Khan, along with Gauri Khan and Suhana Khan, was among those who visited the famous pandal. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone also sought blessings earlier during the celebrations, while Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran visited with his family.
The Lalbaugcha Raja celebrations began on September 14 this year and will continue until Anant Chaturdashi on September 25. The mandal provides both physical and online darshan for devotees during the festival.
For Parineeti, the visit combined faith and family in a simple but memorable moment. Even though Raghav could not be there in person, her video call ensured that he could virtually share the Ganpati darshan with her.
