PC Leader Zahoor Ahmad Bhat Expresses Concern Over Delay in PMAY Cases, Urges Government to Intervene

Bandipora, Nov 4: Peoples Conference (PC) leader Zahoor Ahmad Bhat has expressed anguish over the delay in the processing and approval of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) cases of poor and deserving families, saying that deserving beneficiaries are still waiting for assistance despite the government's promise to provide them with housing support.

In an statement issued here Zahoor Ahmad Bhat said that winter has already approached, but still deserving families continue to wait for their PMAY cases to be cleared. He expressed concern over the difficulties faced by economically weaker sections, particularly those living in inadequate housing conditions.

He said that the delay has caused disappointment among poor families who were expecting timely assistance under the government scheme.

Bhat urged the government and the concerned authorities to look into the matter on priority and intervene to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits promised to them without further delay.

He stressed that the welfare of poor and needy families should remain a priority and called for urgent steps to resolve pending cases before the harsh winter conditions set in.
