Kupwara: Under the supervision of Shri Ravinder Pal Singh-JKPS, SSP and Commandant of 4 JKAP IR Battalion, a medical camp was organised at the Battalion Headquarters in collaboration with District Hospital Kupwara to provide accessible healthcare facilities to police personnel, their families and members of the local community.
A team of specialist doctors, including surgeons, orthopaedicians, paediatricians and general physicians, along with qualified paramedical staff and X-ray technicians, participated in the camp. The medical team provided consultations, health examinations, prescriptions and on-the-spot diagnostic X-ray facilities to the beneficiaries.
A total of 399 beneficiaries availed the healthcare services during the camp, including 272 personnel of 4 JKAP IR Battalion, 70 personnel of the 2nd Border Battalion and 57 civilians.
The specialist doctors examined the beneficiaries, provided medical advice, prescribed necessary medicines and guided patients regarding further treatment wherever required. The camp received an encouraging response from police personnel, their family members and local residents.
The initiative provided an opportunity for beneficiaries to access specialised medical consultations and diagnostic services under one roof. It also reflected the Battalion's continued commitment to the health and welfare of its personnel and their families, while extending essential healthcare services to the wider community.
The medical camp further strengthened police-public cooperation and highlighted the importance of community-oriented welfare initiatives.
On the occasion, the Commandant appreciated the dedicated efforts of the medical team from District Hospital Kupwara and all participating personnel for their valuable contribution to the successful conduct of the camp.
