Nita Ambani made a striking festive appearance at Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, choosing a traditional Patola saree that highlighted India’s rich textile heritage.
Nita Ambani visited the famous Ganpati pandal with her husband, Reliance Industries chairman and managing director Mukesh Ambani, and their grandchildren. Her traditional ensemble quickly drew attention for its vibrant colours, intricate craftsmanship and carefully chosen jewellery.
She wore a Patola saree featuring a vivid combination of crimson red and fiery orange. The traditional textile is known for its intricate double-ikat weaving technique, in which both the warp and weft threads are carefully dyed before being woven together. The saree featured geometric patterns along with traditional motifs, including dancing figures, elephants and floral designs.
Nita Ambani chose a traditional front-pleated drape with a sidha pallu, allowing the detailed design of the pallu to remain the centre of attention. She paired the saree with a deep-red blouse featuring elbow-length sleeves, creating a coordinated festive look.
Her accessories complemented the traditional outfit without overpowering it. She wore a diamond statement necklace and matching earrings, along with traditional glass bangles. An emerald ring added another touch of colour to the ensemble.
She kept her hairstyle and makeup relatively understated. Her hair was neatly pulled back into a low bun, while a traditional red bindi completed the festive appearance. Softly defined eyes, a warm-toned lip colour and subtle makeup kept the overall look elegant and classic.
Mukesh Ambani accompanied her in a simple white shirt. He was also seen carrying their granddaughter, who wore a pink leheriya-style co-ord outfit.
Nita Ambani has frequently appeared in traditional Indian clothing at major festive occasions, often incorporating Indian textiles and jewellery into her wardrobe. Her latest Patola saree once again brought attention to the craftsmanship associated with one of India’s best-known handwoven textile traditions.
