Krushna Abhishek recently celebrated Raksha Bandhan with his aunt Sunita Ahuja and cousins Tina Ahuja and Harshvardhan Ahuja. The family celebration comes amid continued public attention around the reported differences between Govinda and Sunita.
Krushna shared a series of photos and videos from the celebration on social media. The pictures showed him posing with Sunita, Tina and Harshvardhan, while the videos captured the family members enjoying the festive occasion together.
In one of the clips, Tina Ahuja can be seen tying a rakhi to Krushna while the song “Bhaiya Mere Rakhi Ke Bandhan Ko” plays in the background. The moment turned into a light-hearted one as everyone laughed. Krushna also joked about getting the next Bangkok tickets, prompting a voice in the background to point out that he was actually the one interested in travelling to Bangkok.
Another video showed Arti Singh tying a rakhi to Harshvardhan. He touched her feet and received her blessings before the two hugged. Tina was also seen tying a rakhi to her brother Harshvardhan.
The family photos featured Krushna, Tina, Harshvardhan and Sunita posing together. However, Govinda was not seen in any of the pictures or videos shared from the celebration.
Krushna captioned his post, “Hamari Wali Rakhi Celebrations!” along with heart and cupcake emojis and the hashtag #latergram.
The celebration comes at a time when Govinda and Sunita have been in the spotlight following reports of tension in their marriage. Sunita has made comments about Govinda's alleged infidelity, while the actor has denied the accusations.
The recent controversy reportedly intensified after Govinda was seen with his co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar. Sunita later referred to Komal as Govinda's “sugar daddy” in a comment to paparazzi. Govinda subsequently responded to Sunita and asked her to stay within her limits.
Sunita was also spotted at a family court in Mumbai, which led to speculation about a possible divorce. She later clarified, while speaking with Rakhi Sawant, that she had gone to court to withdraw an old divorce petition. According to Sunita, she believed Govinda and Komal were planning to marry.
The controversy also saw Krushna's wife, actor Kashmera Shah, publicly support Sunita. Kashmera said that Sunita was part of her family and that she would stand by the women in her family.
Despite the ongoing controversy, the Raksha Bandhan gathering showed Krushna maintaining a warm relationship with his cousins and aunt. The celebration offered a glimpse of the family coming together for the festival, even though Govinda was absent from the shared pictures.
