News Desk: Model and social media influencer Shraddha Dubey has denied reports that she is missing and claimed that Lucknow cafe owner Shiva Sharma died by suicide, not murder. In a video statement released on Wednesday night, she said she wanted to appear before the police and record her statement.
“I am not missing anywhere. I want to come to the police and give my statement. I want to tell them everything that is true,” Dubey said in the video.
Her statement comes as police continue investigating Sharma’s death on October 9. Lucknow Police have announced a reward of ₹25,000 each for information leading to the arrest of Dubey, her sister Rashmi and their driver. Police teams have reportedly been sent to Delhi and areas near the Nepal border amid concerns that the accused may attempt to flee.
Dubey has rejected the allegations against her, insisting that Sharma was not murdered. However, her claims have not been independently established, and the investigation remains ongoing.
What happened to Shiva Sharma?
Shiva Sharma, 28, was found dead after falling from the fourth floor of Awadh Green Apartments in the Balu Adda area of Lucknow. Reports suggest that he had been living with Dubey at the apartment for around three to four months.
His mother, Ranjana Sharma, accused Dubey, her sister and several others of assaulting, harassing and blackmailing her son before his death. Based on her complaint, Hazratganj police registered a murder case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
The FIR reportedly alleges that Dubey pushed Sharma from the fourth floor. His mother also claimed that his body bore cigarette-burn marks.
CCTV footage under investigation
Investigators are examining CCTV footage that reportedly captures Sharma’s fatal fall from the building. The footage is expected to help establish the sequence of events and determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to reports, the post-mortem examination recorded multiple external injuries and extensive internal trauma, including damage to the lungs, liver and spleen. The cause of death was attributed to shock and haemorrhage.
However, the medical findings alone do not establish whether Sharma was pushed, jumped or fell accidentally. Police are continuing to examine the available evidence and have questioned several people close to Dubey.

Originally from Rae Bareli, Dubey reportedly built her public profile through modelling assignments, beauty pageants and fashion events. She is also active on Instagram, where her account has attracted a substantial following.
Her photographs with politicians and other influential personalities have drawn attention following Sharma’s death.
For now, police are continuing their search for the accused as investigators work to establish what happened on October 9. Dubey’s version of events and the allegations made by Sharma’s family remain disputed, and the case awaits further investigation.
