Yogi Adityanath Holds Janta Darshan in Gorakhpur, Hears Public Grievances

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a Janta Darshan at the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur on Saturday, where he met people from different parts of the region and listened to their grievances. The programme provided residents an opportunity to directly present their problems before the Chief Minister.

During the interaction, people submitted applications concerning issues related to administration, police matters, land disputes, financial assistance and access to government welfare schemes. Yogi Adityanath listened to the complaints individually and assured the visitors that their concerns would be addressed.

The Chief Minister directed officials present at the programme to examine the applications and take prompt action on the issues raised. He stressed the need for a sensitive and timely approach while dealing with public grievances.

Janta Darshan has remained one of Yogi Adityanath’s regular public outreach programmes in Gorakhpur. Similar sessions at the Gorakhnath Temple have seen hundreds of people meeting the Chief Minister to seek assistance with medical treatment, housing, pensions, land-related disputes and other administrative matters.

Officials have previously been instructed to ensure that eligible citizens receive the benefits of government welfare schemes, including assistance related to housing, healthcare, education and pensions. The Chief Minister has also directed authorities to ensure that complaints referred during Janta Darshan are resolved fairly and without unnecessary delay.

The latest interaction comes as Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to participate in programmes in Gorakhpur, including the inauguration of a newly constructed Kalyan Mandapam in Basharatpur on August 29.

Through the Janta Darshan programme, the Uttar Pradesh government has sought to strengthen direct communication between citizens and the administration. The initiative allows people to bring individual grievances directly to the Chief Minister while enabling officials to receive instructions for their redressal.

The Gorakhpur visit also underlines the Chief Minister’s continued engagement with people in the city, which has been his political stronghold for several decades. Yogi Adityanath has represented Gorakhpur for many years and continues to maintain a strong connection with the region.
