A wildfire has been reported near Nebo Loop Road in Payson, Utah County, prompting firefighters to bring both ground and air resources to the area.
The incident, identified as the Payson Fire, was reported in the 12,100 block of Nebo Loop Road, according to Watch Duty and Utah Fire Info.
Initial estimates suggest the fire has affected between 6 and 10 acres. Officials said structures were under threat as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.
Authorities urged residents and visitors to avoid the area and allow emergency crews enough space to operate safely.
A helicopter was also reportedly seen flying over the fire early Sunday morning, with radio traffic indicating that aerial support was being used in the response.
Officials had not yet provided a confirmed cause of the fire or detailed information on how much of the blaze had been contained. Further updates were expected as firefighters continued their operations.
